Brightspot Market was established in 2009. The objective of the event is to present young, independent fashion and product designers along side unique retailers and international streewear brands. This event has been continually been held every year from 2009. From just about 5000 visitors that came to the event in 2009, in 2012 the visitors has increased a lot to 57000. The popularity of the event has created some kind of cultural phenomenon.
I went to the Brightspot Market 2013 that was being held in Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall on the 14th – 17th of February 2013. There were an estimated of more than 100 brands that participated in the event. Brands that were participating were, Cottonink, Milcah, Aksara, Gudily, LOUSHKII, ToiMoi, Petite Cupcakes and many more.
I like going to the event, because I can get a lot of cool things all in one place. From clothes, shoes, accessories to bags, they are all presented in the event. The qualities of the things that are being sold are also great. The atmosphere of the event is simple but quiet engaging at the same time. But, I think that the place should be bigger because the visitors are a lot and when the place is too crowded it is hard to shop and become uncomfortable.
Indonesia Fashion Week was being held in Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) on the 14th of February 2013. The event combines fashion shows and trade shows with the objective to develop the growth of local fashion industry. Not only presenting fashion shows from a lot of local designers, the event also gives a complete fashion exhibition. The fashion exhibition includes woman’s wear, men’s wear and kids wear, accessories and textile, seminars and competition.
In one day, there are an estimated of 30 designers that showcased their fashion collection. Designers ranging from seniors to new or semi prime are gathered in the event. The fashion shows started with the collection such as, Stylopedia, Malolo a Journey to Mandar (Ivan Gunawan), Downy Presents Fashion to Attraction (Auguste Soesastro), Pantene Presents Beauty Discovery (Jeanny Ang) and BNI Presents Renown Culture (Denny Irawan, Rudy Chandra, Sofie, and Melinda Looi).
When I went to the event, I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. Even though the event was very crowded but there were a lot of interesting activities. The existence of an estimated about 500 local brands in the exhibition is also one of my favorite part because I can get a lot new knowledge towards the fashion industry in Indonesia and also at the same time being proud towards Indonesia’s products.
The website is very useful for me actually. I get a lot of beneficial information from the articles. The articles that it writes relate well with the people in the business industry, especially with start-ups and small businesses. The website classifies the article into categories such as, news and trend, start up basics, money and finance, sales and marketing and technology. I think the classification of the articles is very helpful for the users. The title for most of the articles that I have found is also very cleverly planned to attract attention. The only down side of the website in my point of view is only regarding the layout and design of the website. I don’t think that the website is attractive enough in the matter of layout and design. It’s kind of boring. I think more improvement towards the website design and layout is needed by adding more color and using more attractive visuals inside it.
“The trendstop.com provides a suite of trend services and products designed to help translate the latest fashion and lifestyle trends into best sellers”
The website, an online fashion and trend forecasting agency which is based in London, also provides online membership for insider access to the most directional fashion trends and forecast. The trend areas that the website covers consists of trend forecast, color prediction, material and textures, print and graphics, catwalk analysis, global retail trends, trade shows and many more. The trend tool also has client base ranges from start ups, manufacturers and retailers such as, L’Oreal, Hugo Boss, Li & Fung and etc.
I really love this website! I can even point out any negative comments about the website. It really is perfectly made. Even though I am not really that much into fashion but the website kind of drawn me into it. The layout of the website is very attractive with a lot of colors and beautiful visuals. Besides that, the website has an easy navigation towards their features. The words that are used in the website is also easy to understand.
JWT Intelligence is a marketing communications brand, it produced the first ever TV commercial in 1939 and has been developing award winning branded content ever since. The company focuses on identifying the dynamic changes in the global zeitgeist and then use the information to find out the opportunities for brands. JWT Intelligence clients includes great companies such as, Bayer, Nestle, Ford, Kraft, Macy’s, Nokia, Rolex and many more.
I have found a lot of beneficial and interesting information from the website, I think that the company’s ability in finding out the latest trends and situations can help the other brands a lot. The great performance and capability of the company can be seen just by browsing through the website, we can found a lot of great researches or trend reports that give a lot of detail information based on facts and surveys. The website also provides updated marketing related articles in their home page that give me a lot of valuable knowledge and increase my likeness towards the website.
I also stumble upon the anxiety index which I think really unique. The first time I set my eye on it, I quickly get interested to get to know more about it. The anxiety index gives marketers the advantage of finding better ways to connect with consumers looking for trust, credibility and answers. Because, navigating consumers’ anxieties is not about exploiting fear. As a matter of fact, there are tens of millions of consumers seeking guidance and assurance therefore; marketers need to understand the bigger picture through the anxiety index that is why it matters. The website provide anxiety researches in a lot of different countries such as, Japan, South Africa, United Kingdom and many more. I highly recommend this website to others, because I personally love it !
I really like the blog because it fits my passion, which is in marketing. The blog gives a lot of beneficially updated marketing information by people who are also into marketing. Most of the posts are being write so simple yet meaningful. The simplicity of the deliverance of the information does not give confusion but instead it helps me to think more structured. The words that most of the posts uses are also easy to be understand. As I look deeper into the content of the blog, I found another great thing, the blog provides categorization that makes the reader easier to browse through the posts. It seems like reading a free marketing online magazine. NICE! 🙂
I think the blog is being done very well and I do not have something negative to say about it, but then to attract more people, I think that it is not a bad idea to be more creative on the web design. I actually like the practicality of the design but it needs more unique look because the design is too common. The valuable information that the blogs offered is certainly cannot be missed out by all of the marketers.
Creative opera gives a very beneficial service for people who loves to design because it gives navigation service for them to search for design blogs online. But, the design blogs that the people are going to find when using the navigation services are only the ones that the author has chosen as her favorites.Currently, there are about over 80 blogs offered. The blogs in the website are categorized to make it easier for people to search. When you first entered the blog you will see helpful information about the website and the blogs inside it directly. In the left area of the website, the author gives directory such as, design finds, design resumes, design myths and design blogs. The website are very practical and attractive. The use of many visual displays in the website grabs my attention a lot and I love it.
I think that the website is excellent, as I browse through the blogs I find a lot of interesting design blogs. Even though that most of the blogs that I have read are posting about professional design materials that I do not quite understand, but some of the blogs are also posting about general or basic design materials and creative ideas that are more understandable for me and also interesting things to be read too. Then I think good news for the designers because this website can give a lot of advantages for them.
